Begin your journey with a 7-day trek along the Rongai Route, a less-traveled path known for its scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere. Unlike the more popular Marangu Route, the Rongai Route is a quieter option, ideal for those looking for a more serene and remote experience. The 7-day Rongai Route offers a spectacular and less-crowded experience with diverse landscapes leading to the summit. Here’s what to expect:
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guide for a briefing and equipment check to ensure you’re fully prepared for the trek ahead.

Your adventure begins at the Rongai Gate, where you’ll start the trek through the forested lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. As you ascend, you’ll witness the unique flora and fauna of the northern slopes. Simba Camp will be your resting spot for the night.

On day two, continue your ascent as you move through the moorland zone. The landscape becomes more open, and you'll enjoy stunning views of the mountain and surrounding areas as you head towards Second Cave Camp.

Continue trekking upward through the moorland zone, gradually approaching the alpine desert zone. As you ascend, the scenery becomes even more spectacular, with sweeping views across Kilimanjaro's northern and southern slopes.

On day four, you will trek through the alpine desert to reach Mawenzi Tarn Hut, with stunning views of the Mawenzi Peak. This is one of the more challenging sections of the trek, but the landscapes make it worthwhile.

Today’s trek will take you closer to the summit, passing through the alpine desert as you head towards Kibo Hut. This will be your final stop before your summit attempt.

Start your summit attempt in the early hours of the morning. After reaching Stella Point, continue to Uhuru Peak for sunrise. After summiting, descend back to Horombo Hut to rest and recover.
Elevation: 4700m/15,419ft to 5895m/19,341ft (Uhuru Peak), then descend to 3720m/12,205ft

After a restful night at Horombo Hut, descend through the moorland and rainforest back to Marangu Gate. Once you reach the gate, you’ll receive your summit certificate to celebrate your accomplishment. Afterward, you'll be transferred back to Moshi or Arusha for relaxation and celebration.
